Camp Information, Regulations & Photo Policy
- MOVEMENT & PARKING OF VEHICLES
- The campground is a Limited access area, and directions given by Camp Staff/Security are to be always obeyed.
- Observe all SPEED LIMITS posted. Motorised wheelchairs and the like must be used only for transporting those with special needs. They are not to be driven by others for entertainment or convenience.
- Cars should be positioned in permitted areas only, according to signs and with consideration of others. Vehicles are to be parked as effectively as possible to allow for optimum parking.
- Your vehicle will be allowed to be parked on the grounds next to your site for the duration of Camp. You are not permitted to drive around the campground for the duration of camp, unless you have a permit for medical purposes. This permit will be issued by the camp office.
- Other motorised vehicles (such as scooters, electronic bikes etc.) are not permitted and Vic Roads regulations regarding driving apply.
- BEHAVIOUR & SAFETY OF CAMPERS
- The behaviour of those staying on the Campground is to be appropriate for a Christian Convention.
- Any electronic musical device or other musical instrument is to be used in a manner not likely to cause annoyance to neighbours in adjoining sites (caravan and tent). Quietness is to be observed between 10.30pm and 6.00am.
- Loud and offensive language is not accepted or tolerated. Offenders may be asked to leave the grounds.
- Campers must not alter or interfere with any electrical connection at any time. If a problem arises, please consult the Camp Superintendent.
- Any cooking devices using a naked flame must be kept away from the walls/roof of tents.
- Open fires are prohibited on all sites during this event.
- Be aware that any device that generates heat has the potential to cause fire.
- ALCOHOL & OTHER DRUGS
- As the Campground is designated an alcohol, tobacco and drug free environment the following rules apply:
- Alcohol is not to be brought onto the Campground. Offenders will forfeit their rights to be on the grounds. Motor vehicles used to bring alcohol or illicit drugs onto the campground will be refused further admittance to the Campground for the duration of Camp.
- If it is found that alcohol or illicit drugs are being consumed at a particular campsite, then all occupants of that site will be required to vacate and forfeit all rights to the site and will not be allowed to use the site again for the duration of Camp.
- GENERAL
- Children/teenagers under the age of 18 years must never be left on the grounds overnight unsupervised.
- Every occupied site is to always have a responsible adult present on the grounds (day and night) to ensure that all occupants abide by Camp regulations. Failure to adhere to these requirements will forfeit the right to the campsite for the duration of Camp. All overnight campers must be registered with the Camp Office.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for knowing the whereabouts of all persons under their care.
- Dogs and any other animals are not permitted on the grounds (Guide dogs & security dogs excepted).
- Skateboards are not to be used during Camp.
- Bikes are always restricted to roadways. A helmet must be always worn by bike riders when riding.
- Valuables should be cared for properly and not left in tents or caravans unattended. Please ensure that you look after purses, wallets and mobile phones always. The Victorian Conference will not be responsible for any personal items lost or stolen whilst at Elmore.
- Children/teens 15 years and under are to be with their parents/guardians within one hour of the conclusion of their last meeting for the day or by 10:30pm, whichever comes first.
- Children/teens are not to be in or near the dam at any time.
- Camp hygiene and cleanliness are the responsibility of all campers. You are encouraged to deposit all litter in the bins provided and ensure all camping areas are always kept tidy and presentable.
- Please keep light bulbs at a distance from the canvas on the small tents.
- PHOTO POLICY
- Victorian Adventist Communications Photo and Filming policy for Annual Convention at Elmore
- Approved photographers and cinematographers will be on the premises recording official photographs and footage. They will be clearly identified by coloured ID on a lanyard. Those wearing GREEN ID have valid Working With Children certificates, have pre-registered with Victorian Adventist Communications and are the only photographers/ cinematographers authorised to take official photographs/ footage within VicYouth and Children’s Ministries venues (including Mega Monday).
- GREEN and ORANGE IDs are authorised to take photos/ footage in other public areas and activities at camp, however photographers will respect your decision at the time, should you request they do not photograph/film you or your child.
- These recordings will be used appropriately in slideshows throughout the Easter weekend and in Victorian Adventist Communications productions and promotions (including print, internet and audio-visual presentation).
- If you have a significant issue with this notice, please discuss this with the camp office.”
